Letters of Charlotte Bronte returned to her homeAt auction sotneby's been sold a unique collection of letters by English writer Charlotte brontГ«, written between 1832 and 1854. As reported on the website of the auction, their acquired Fund Bronte 185 thousand pounds.Letters will return home the author of "Jane Eyre" and will be exhibited in the Museum in the village of Bronte Howorth in West Yorkshire, where she was born in 1816. Before the sale of the materials was estimated at 100-150 thousand pounds.The letter went under the hammer along with the first edition of the biography of Charlotte Bronte" by Elizabeth Gaskell and published in 1857. Five of six letters addressed to Ellen Nasse, friend Bronte, whom she met while studying at the school at ROE Head, where she later taught. These letters were among those that Nasse and handed Gaskell when she worked on the biography.Letter, together with a two-volume biography for many years was kept in a private collection, but the name of the former owner not reported.Letter Bronte was exhibited at the auction devoted to English literature, the literature on the history and illustrations.
